Ended up going home sick in the middle of the day because of another stupid migraine. That's two in two weeks, which is kinda worrisome, considering that that makes #3 ever. My dad actually came and picked me up, though, and dropped me off at home, which I didn't expect. Quite nice of him, that, as he had to get a babysitter for his classroom and such. LOL, I was so pissed off, though, when I realized that I was going to have to go home (both simply because it was too bad to stay--they don't like you hanging out in the health room for very long and there was no way I'd be able to function in class--and because I was actually throwing up with this one, thus precluding even attempting to just sit through class for the rest of the day), because I so very nearly drove to school today. And thus would have been able to take myself home when it started getting bad rather than waiting through the worst of it in the bathroom off of the health room with the light off and my hands stuffed in my ears to block out the announcements.
Got home around noon, threw up a bit more (though not in the car--it was a near thing, but I think I would have been disowned had that happened. Luckily, dad had an empty chip bag next to the seat that I kept my head in front of for most of the ride, though it didn't end up being needed--though again, that was a near thing, as once I was out of the car, I barely made it in the house and to the bathroom in time), nicked one of my mum's migraine pills, and went to sleep. Missed biology, which was not a good thing, as we've got a presentation to give on Thursday over the infamous experimentgone awry screwed up by our instructor--work for which being what I should be doing now. And econ, but nobody cares about that. Woke up a good five or six hours later (I never thought I'd be thankful for not going to bed until late last night, but it kept me asleep until I was feeling better), still kinda queasy, but not in the same way; I think simply from being sick all afternoon rather than any migraineyness.
Sabotaged my calories for the day by eating two bananas with dinner (one before and one after with my strawberry jello, LOL), but I figured my potassium probably sucked from being sick (idk, but I heard that once; that throwing up gets rid of K like nothing else).
Oh, and once again:
Dear Weather,
WTF? 68 in January? This is not the normal state of things, kthx. No wonder my Medium watching got interrupted by tornado and severe storm warnings every few minutes. I don't deny that it's nice, but it's got this ominous feeling to it, especially on Sunday when everything was just. . . too clear. Plus, a few degrees down wouldn't hurt. Or more breeze. It's hard to exercise in this heat.

Date: 2008-01-08 11:12 am (UTC)We should be having a storm right now. I'm kinda disappointed that we're not. You'd think after all these 40-degree days and the shitloads of humidity that it would all pay off with a brilliant thunderstorm! Fuckit.

Date: 2008-01-08 01:38 pm (UTC)40-degree days? Is this not quite odd for. . . idk, summer? It's like our weathers are switched.
O BUT UNLESS you mean in your C type degrees, in which case I'd be contemplating slitting my wrists with a pane of ice. And with the humidity? Blech. Since St. Louis is right on the Mississippi River (even though I'm about 20 minutes away from it), with another two right above, we've got that problem a lot. The confluence of them and all.

Date: 2008-01-08 04:24 pm (UTC)And thanks. I spent most of English today (which is where I first started getting it yesterday) dreading that it was going to come back, which was not fun, but it did not, which means success.
