The SG-1 episode "Heroes" was so Sam/Janet sad.

Now I am depressed. No more Janet.

But then again, I haven't watched most of the episodes before this yet. So I've still got loads of Janet to go.

I've only been seeing random episodes that my brother checks out (as I was trying to go in order, but disks 3 and 4 of season one at the library got lost by someone, so I'm stuck) . And I happened to walk in and tell him that I needed the DVD player (we were trying to see if the Babylon 5 disks that are all messed up would play on a different player. They don't.) and he was watching "Heroes", and I just got sucked in.

The ep definitely cemented my belief in Sam/Janet, though. If I had any doubts to how canon they were, this got rid of all of them.

This is Stargate SG-1, not Stargate 90210.

LOL. I get what you're saying. They've got 42 minutes to get the plot of the day about the stargate or whatever in, which means not much time for subplots.

I love Teryl Rothery for making Janet Fraiser a character people cry over.

Yeah. It's always really cool when actors take nobody characters and make them into somebody that you care about. Yay, Teryl.

There's a season 9 episode where they had to cut quite a bit of personal stuff for the story and Gateworld had the missing scenes up (script form, at least). Such a shame, but that is the beast. It wouldn't be so bad if the stupid DVDs just had Deleted Scenes!!

And yes, Teryl signed on for "a guest character, possibly recurring" and stayed for seven years. Funny thing, she originally auditioned for Sam Carter! But even she admits she is SO not Carter. ;-D
