Spoilers for 1/23's BSG )

I've really got to pay better attention to these. I think my ADD has progressively gotten worse, as TV's just something I can't do anymore. I'm always also checking my email and playing a game and eating a bowl of oatmeal, etc., etc. and with shows like BSG, you really need to be watching closer than that. It works fine for stuff like Psych, but I find that even with House or ER, people (or the characters) wi'll mention something that happened last week and I won't know what they're talking about even though I just watched it.

Spoilers for Psych )

Beta'd some fic recently. That was fun. Yet always agonizing--I always want to point out as many things as I think I can help with, but I don't want to make it seem like the fic is bad or make too many suggestions because I think it's worded awkwardly or something that are changing things that are just part of their style. It was (presumably--I just sort of assumed as the author writes femslash and the main characters appeared from the first chapter I read to be these two) Kim/Olivia of SVU, which I've never seen. Frankly, I was so pissed with the casting of Kim (the actress is barely old enough to have feasibly graduated from law school, much less worked in DC and then be assigned to Manhattan's elite Special Victims' Unit) that I haven't paid much attention to her character, but I'll definitely have to now, especially if my betaing skills are retained past that first chapter. (I may have scared her away.)

LOLOLOL. I'm watching the latest episode of Psych (Psi vs. Psi), and the fancy government agent guy is flirting with Juliet. And when he looks her up and down and pulls this line about how she's got Pennsylvania Ave. running through her veins and should consider taking the bureau exam, Juliet immediately glances at the Chief (Karen Vick) kinda in surprise, who looks back at her making a face that's all "the audacity of this man, flirting with my girlfriend trying to poach officers from my police department". Juliet then shrugs and walks out, and Karen glares at the agent and says her next line to him all harshly: "Let me set up the conference area for you, right this way." Which is totally not a chief of police duty, so she's obviously just trying to be there so as Mr. Agent Man doesn't keep blatantly flirting/poaching.

(Interim) Chief Vick is my new favorite Powerful Woman in Charge character (though House hasn't started yet, so Cuddy will have a chance to retake her spot).

But the editing in this episode is HORRIBLE. Atrocious. I'm maybe 1/3 of the way in and I've caught at least 4 obviously and majorly bad edits.

Juliet: "Do you think I wanted to pick up my phone at 2am and hear his [Mr. Agent Man's] voice, all gravely and masculine? Probably called from the hotel, (voice gets progressively huskier) maybe just got out of the shower (Lassiter crooks his head to the side and smiles slightly as if imagining, LOLOL) or finished with a swim. . . dripping wet."
Karen: *glares daggers*

I forgot this was the episode where Lassiter gets his mancrush, lol.

AHH! And then Agent Man found the guy (except I think not, as there's still almost 15 minutes to go in the episode), and Karen's all "Well, I guess congratulations are in order. I have to hand it to our federal agents here; though we would have preferred to bring him in and charge him, this case looks pretty much wrapped up."
Agent Man: "There's no need to congratulate us for doing what is our job. We don't ask for commendation for what is merely our proud honor of servitude for our country. . . . Perhaps just a small hug."
Karen: *looks murderous, puts hands on Juliet's shoulders and walks her away*
Me: Oh yeah.

EDIT: *points to icon* Murderous, I say. Though that's hard to see in a 100x100 square.

Tina Fey/Stephanie March would be is crazy hot. I ended up not watching 30 Rock like I wanted to for some reason, which made me sad, because I missed the Tina. But Alex Cabot is so witness protectioned as Gretchen Thomas. I've decided that the 30 Rock character was actually Cabot in disguise. Yes. Because yay. Olivia Benson/Alex Cabot/Liz Lemon is hot also.
Hee. Liz got dumped by a girl.
