Woah, earthquake (which counts as weather for tagging purposes, LOL). It’s kinda funny, because if I hadn’t heard about it this morning, I probably would have thought I imagined the whole thing, because I had just gone to bed maybe half an hour before and didn’t wake all the way up when it happened. I do remember waking up to that drowsyish state and going “Huh. I wonder if it’s an earthquake. (Hence my concluding that I never woke all the way up—I only ever got to the point of “Wouldn’t it be cool if it was an earthquake?” and not to the logical next question of “Well, what else could it realistically be?”) Cool,” and looking at my watch and going back to sleep. If it hadn’t been all over the news this morning, I probably wouldn’t have even remembered, but when Kaci mentioned it, I was all “Oh, at like 4:30, right?”

LOL. I wish I had been all the way awake, because if I had been actually conscious of it happening when it was happening, I think I would remember it better than I do. Which would be cool.

In other news, that whole cold/allergies debate? Was a cold. I’ve been sick all week, thus making this only the second day I’ve been in class the entire week (Wednesday being the other—I actually got worse again on Thursday and stayed home after being back on Weds., which feels like it’s going to be hard to explain) and I’ve got loads of crap to try and get straightened out/made up. I have utterly no idea what’s going on in any of my classes, which is entertaining. And I still can’t really breathe.

WHAAAAT. That's so cool. What was it on the Richter scale? Obviously not very high, but still. Cool.

Feel better bb! At least your classes will be out of the way in, what, a month? I was always jealous of you Lolmericans for that, lol.

5.2, actually. Which methinks is pretty darn high, considering. I'm not sure how far we were away from the epicenter exactly, but I think it was something like in the middle of the next state, which is only 3 or 4 hour drive at the most. The aftershock that morning that I did definitely feel (we were taking a test and it felt and sounded like somebody all of a sudden started shoving the table while something really heavy was on it) was a 4.6, which I definitely wouldn't have guessed. There used to be (prolly still is, but I haven't been down there in a while) this thing in our science center where you'd stand on a platform and it'd shake you like the different levels of earthquake and you'd be surprised at how little actual shaking it takes to produce the destruction that comes out of the big ones. Still, this was a good earthquake. Nice amount of shaking, very little damage.

And yes, only a month or so left. A crazy-arsed month full of projects and tests and me trying to figure out where I'm going to school next year, but a month nonetheless. I'm not looking forward to it so much, as it's the last year; there's definitely that feeling of OMGCHANGE *dreads* every time I think of it.

But I'm pretty much better from coldofdoom, which is good!

Oh, really? That's so cool. They might have something like that in Scitech (this big science place in the city that teachers love to take us to), but I'm never sure with that place. It seems to just follow certain themes (like, I think at the moment it's the world from the point of view of an ant or something), so unless the theme is natural disaster, I might not get to feel what an earthquake is like. :(

*pats* At least it will be over, yes? Sure, your life is neeeever going to be the same, but you won't have to worry about the classwork so much anymore. You can make a fresh start!
