That makes sense. I think I wrote it like that because I'm used to converting to American for all the icon tutorials I've been doing lately. It's all American in Photoshop, so I'm always writing things like "color balance" and "selective color" and such. So yar. I'm totally bigrammatical. (<-- what?)
