Oh and another story that I forgot.
I've got a paint chip under my fingernail.
I was pushing open this gate with letters on it during lunch on Tuesday, and somehow a big chunk of one of the letters got all the way under my pinky nail. I thought I just had banged it pretty hard and that maybe it was bleeding under the nail until I realized that there was something under there.
I managed to finally get a hold of a pair of tweezers about an hour and a half later and after 10 minutes of wrangling, thought I had it out. Nope. Evidently, there were two flakes right on top of each other. So I have one, but the other's still stuck in there, and because the only way I got the first one out was because it was sticking out a little, idk if I can even get the second.
It stopped hurting as much after I got the first piece out, though, I suppose because it wasn't pressing as hard anymore. It doesn't hurt at all anymore, but it was pretty bad even after extraction #1 if I touched anything with it.
So yes. I'm rather afraid that it's lead paint or I'm going to get infected or something, but idk how to get it out.
Edit: Some 30 hours after the original incident, I've finally managed to get them both out. It involved tearing my fingernail up a lot higher than I would have wished, and it's quite bloody/bruised under there, but at least it's gone.

Date: 2007-10-11 09:34 am (UTC)And not in the fun way.ALSO. As I was reading the part about you opening the gate, I kind of imagined it in my mind, AND I REALISED THAT YOU WERE IN MY DREAM LAST NIGHT. But I can't remember anything except that you were there. Oh, and something to do with your hands, as it was the mental picture of you pushing on the gate that triggered a memory. But ugh. Can't remember. Sad.

Date: 2007-10-11 12:35 pm (UTC)Ooh. I apologize for the story making skin crawl thing. I've been biting my nails with varying degrees of seriousness for prolly 11 years now, so I'm not that squeamish, though this was a new experience. That's like me with eyes, though. Sometimes I even get these weird obsession things, like if I think for some reason about something going into my eye, any time I think about that object, I visualize every possible situation where it could somehow become lodged in there. It's like on those medical shows where they stick a needle in through your eye. You could just let me die. That's not even happening.
something to do with your hands
*Waggles eyebrows lecherously*

IL when that happens, and you end up remembering a dream you didn't know you had. But then IH how you're like "This was a dream, right? I do not remember the rest." Especially when they're good dreams. But yay, me in dreams. You are a very avid dreamer, no? I hardly ever do, which is sad.

Date: 2007-10-11 01:20 pm (UTC)For srs? I've never been much of a nail-biter. Sometimes I nibble at them, like on the edges and stuff, but mostly I end up having to cut them because they go untouched and grow too long.
Lol, see, I'm not very squeamish when it comes to eyes. Unless we're talking horror movies, where people's eyes are all freaky, or dead people's eyes. Once I happened across a picture of a dead woman from rotten.com who'd been underwater for a while, and... yeah. Not pleasant.

I FUCKING WISH.
Though you may not be far off, as lately I have been having an abundance of sex dreams. With dream!orgasms and all.You are a very avid dreamer, no?
I am, yes. It's unusual for me to not have any sort of dream, including ones that I forget five minutes after waking up.
Sometimes I have epic dreams that play out like movies, and are more often than not trufax freaky. And then there are the sex dreams.
So yah. A dreamer I am. Tis sad that you hardly ever do.
I'm also a sleepwalker/talker, which is both lolariously fun and horrible. God knows what I could say/do.

Date: 2007-10-12 01:25 pm (UTC)Those too. I'm not a horror movie fan at all, though, at least not the kind with the gore. I don't have a problem with real dead people (I rented a video from the library of an autopsy once and didn't bat an eye) but the way they load on the gore and such really freaks me out. Most of the time it's just gratuitous and unnecessary. I prefer the more psychological scary stuff.
With dream!orgasms
Not fair! I never get those. Even on the nights when I have sex dreams (of which there have been all of perhaps three, *headdesk*) I just wake up hot and bothered and frustrated because I've got to get up and get to school and don't have time to actually do anything about it.

I know those. Mine tend to have random TV people in them too.
God knows what I could say/do.
I'm terrified about that. Like, if our family's staying in a hotel or something so we're all in one room, that I'll have a dream and say something or some such, and then wake up and they'll be all ". . . so who's this 'Helena' person you were
professing your lovetalking to?"O AND BUT. I had a dream last night and you were trufax in it in a weird sort of way. Remember how I mentioned the free Serenity screenings? So in the dream, I was on the internets and on this one Star Trek website that I RP on occasionally, and on its front page was a notice about the screenings, and I clicked on the link, and somehow it turned out that they were only showing Serenity one night and two other random movies I'd never heard of (because my mind made them up) on the other two nights. And that one million people were expected to attend Serenity, and they only had 100,000 spots. And then I remember thinking that because it was on a different day, now you couldn't come. But because you weren't coming then, I was going to see if you could reschedule your trip for my prom week so you could go with me.
