My internet is acting all fail like.
And my email is eating my LJ comments. I just got the past 3 days of comments lumped in there at once. They just showed up a few minutes ago.
I've taken to going with my parents everywhere they go (when I'm awake, which is not often, as I got really into a story last night and stayed up until 8am) and whenever I see somebody reading/buying Deathly Hallows (and this was my mum's idea, which is hilarious all in itself), I strike up a loud conversation with whichever parent/sibling is closest about how "I can't believe they killed Ron!!" Because I'm not quite evil enough to really spoil people.
I may be going to volunteer for the Hillary Clinton campaign on Friday morning. Early morning. Like, we have to leave by 6:30am, early. Gah. Still, she and Obama and I can't remember who else are all coming to speak that day, which is really the only reason I want to volunteer; volunteering will get me in, as otherwise, it's the National Urban League conference and I'm just about as white as they come.

I was in Medicare with my mum and siblings the other day, and I told my brother who dies and how it ends etc. while we were waiting. At first I was trying to be quiet about it, but then I realised that room is so quiet people could hear me even while whispering, so I just talked normally. And judging by the looks I got, old people either
a) love HP just as much as anyone else, or
b) think my family dabbles in wizardry and recently suffered a massive loss of lives and... ears.
it's the National Urban League conference and I'm just about as white as they come
This made me lol.

And, well, I am. Actually, at first, I went "Well, we could just pretend we lived in the city," and my mum's all "No, they mean black people." What is that? I mean, doesn't it seem like false advertising? What about all the white people that live in urban places? I was confused.

Date: 2007-07-26 10:15 am (UTC)LOL, I'll have you know I was quite ghetto in my elementary school days, thank you very much! Seriously, it's hilarious. My school was the poor school in the district, and I live
din the 2nd poorest neigborhood in that area, and, erm, knew all the words to the Nelly songs they played on the radio by 10. Just because I heard them on the bus. And I played jumprope with the black girls at recess when the boys discovered that I was a girl and that actually meant something and quit letting me play kickball with them. And now I'm reminded of Elliot from Scrubs. And her lesbianness with Heather Graham that time.
Explain? I am always interested in lesbianness. (Ooh, I think I may know vaguely what you're talking about. Or something like that, when Elliot's mum was asking if she was gay. Idk.)

nnn, that was a little earlier in the show. I just added the part about Heather Graham onto one of my comments. TOTAL LESBIAN CRUSHING. Elliot's a little too much of a nutcase to actually realise this herself, though. Though I'd love it if I were mistaken.
And THEN there was the thing with the Gyno Girls. *sigh* good times.

Date: 2007-07-26 10:24 am (UTC)In one scene, Turk was trying to explain to JD what some line in a rap song meant, but then Elliot and Molly (Heather Graham) came along and corrected him and started rapping. Was lolarious. Carla was like "You just got schooled on rap by the two whitest girls in history" or something, which increased the lolarity value.

Date: 2007-07-30 08:58 am (UTC)I was, I was. Quite the sporty one. Not anymore, though, because I was never into the uber competitive stuff, and once you got past a certain age (namely, when you entered high school), unless you were on the select/uber competitive/tryouts only teams, you had no chance of getting on the school teams.

I've gotten that impression, LOL.
