More quiz spam. Boston, Chicago, and DC are all cities I've looked at. New York wasn't on there, though, which disappointed me.

American Cities That Best Fit You::

The babysitting went okay. We watched Princess Diaries. Which is fun. And I taught her about exponents. Like in math. Because we play this math game together sometimes, one that she plays in the gifted classes (and I actually competed in when I was her age) called Equations, and the younger kids always reroll if the cubes come up as an exponent, but if you know how to do them, and use them, you have a major advantage. So yay for teaching math.

Found a quote that screamed me. From Joan of Arcadia.

Grace- I don't hand things in, and I never hand them in on time. It's my policy.

Well, the stupid mailman didn't even have my Babylon 5 today. He told me that I could have picked it up at the post office starting at 9. Well, which post office? And mister, you checked the wrong box on the little form. You checked the box that said that you'd try to deliver it again. And, by the time the mailman came by (at about 3), the post office (all of them) had been closed for 3 hours. So I'm not getting it until Monday at the earliest, which sucks as I wanted to be able to watch a bunch of them this weekend before I start my summer course on Monday. (And before my dad gets home and insists I have to wait and watch them all in order with him.)

Grr.

And I don't feel well. I've got a wicked sore throat and very little voice, which stops me from calling Katie like I was going to for her birthday and stops me from bringing her card thing over to her house, as I don't want her to get sick right before she leaves town. So...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KATIE!!

Bones Season 2 Spoiler )

I was going to post something on the thread where I found this, and then scrolled down through the comments, and found that it had disintegrated into a flame war. And a Booth/Brennan squeeing fest. Ugh.

The girl who plays Lisa Edelstein's character's daughter in Without a Trace looks just like her. However, the girl that plays Lisa's character as a child does not look like her at all. Kinda weird.

But if anyone for any reason wants to see what Cuddy or Lisa's daughter/niece/little sister could look like, check out the Without a Trace episode (2.09 "Moving On") and look at her daughter at the end of the show (like a minute before the end). Perfect likeness.

*marvels at the amazing that is Lisa*

There's a scene in the House episode "Cursed" (1.13) where Chase is talking to the PotW, and the closeups on Chase's face for some reason make it look like he's wearing a lot of makeup. I mean, he is wearing makeup, but it is visible. Like drag queen visible. It's funny.

I love Gibbs. My mom comes upstairs and asks why I'm not watching NCIS. Of course, I forgot it was on. And it was one I hadn't seen. Curses. But I caught the end. Which is why I love Gibbs. He's all "Any more food fights in here and I'm joining in. With peas." And Kate goes "Frozen peas?" and Gibbs answers "No. In the can."

And I love Kate. Because she is cool. Not quite as cool as Abby, but still cool.

And I was thinking about how I used to hate Tony. I thought he was a chauvinistic pig. Who constantly was sexually harassing Kate. He doesn't act like that as much anymore, methinks. Because I've started to like him.

And my computer just rebooted. Because of the lightning. And I don't know if my external hard drive has surge protection, so I had to unhook it. So I can't really do anything. (I was playing around with clips and thinking about making some kind of video. I figure I've written fic, maniped things, this is the only thing I've not yet done.)

I hope it doesn't do it again. I was about to download something, and now I've got to find the page again.

I'm searching through my hard drive to see if anything screwed up, and I found a whole folder of music I didn't know I still had.

So I'm now listening to Amanda Ghost, who I found through one of her songs being played I believe while Kerry was on a train to Kim's house in some episode of ER. "Silver Lining" is the song, I think. I don't have that one anymore, though. I got the CD, lost it, and had saved the two music videos and not the music. *Dumb* So I'm requesting the CD from the library so I can listen to the rest of it.

And songs from the Xena episode "Bittersuite". Which are fun to listen to. I had them all on my mp3 player last summer.

All this music is old. Songs I remember hearing when I was quite a bit younger. Not old stuff as in oldies, but old stuff as in mid nineties. Like Savage Garden. I'm totally rocking out to this old pop stuff.

Ahh! There's a Savage Garden song that is so perfectly Trance/Beka from Andromeda. It's called Violet.

It'd be from Trance's pov, because it talks about "the color inside of your [Beka's] head (violet)". And "I don't see things that are plain to see. I've got a dream to take you over, exploding like a supernova. "

Trance, with the seeing possible futures. And the supernova line? Trance = sun.

I'd analyze the lyrics more, but it's lightninging again really hard, and I'm afraid the power's going to flash again and reboot the computer before I post this.

Evidently, Anna Nalick's songs "Wreck of the Day" and "Breathe (2 am)" were both used on Joan of Arcadia. And "Breathe" was on the promos for Cold Case when it first was coming out. I'm going to have to see if I can find those in the show.

Yes, I know everybody's tired of my music posts now. Get over it.

But speaking of Joan of Arcadia. If anyone knows of good Joan/Grace, send it my way.

Holy smeg.

It just thundered so hard that my chair literally bounced. I could feel the entire house rumbling. And the ceiling fan is shaking really hard now from the aftershock things.

I'm not one to be afraid of storms, but this one is crazy bad.

Okay, and now I'm listening to that song that Cameron had playing really loudly right before she banged Chase.

That's fun. I just keep imagining druggedout!Cameron. And how hot JenMor looked in that scene.

And now SG-1 is on. I was thinking that I hoped it would be one with Janet on it, because otherwise there's no reason to watch them. And then I went 'Wait. Richard Dean Anderson. Amanda Tapping. Richard Dean Anderson. Plenty of reason to watch.'
