Note to self: while licking the power cord before sticking it into the laptop does fix the not-charging problem, it is probably detrimental to your health in the long run.
Spent a long time today in english class explaining different heart rhythms. Because I was wearing the shirt I got from the dude at the science center for discussing the AEDs, and somebody wanted to know where I got it from. So I explained. And then Rachel wanted to know exactly what was bad about the AEDs. So I explained. Though I think not much of it made sense to her. It made sense to me, though.
Played on the www.trauma.org moulages in History when I should have been doing the plan of investigation for the project. But that ended up being okay, as I only came up with the idea that I'm actually using around 7ish tonight.
Got a bio test, but I'm pretty sure that I can just look over the functional group stuff and fake the rest. (I'm betting that this is going to hurt me. I've heard his tests are hard. But I think I know the stuff, so I might be okay.) It's molecular bio, though, which I'm not crazy about. I've got an advantage as I'm in the second chemistry course when most of the bio kids are either in the first or none. But this is also bad, as in chemistry, we call some of this stuff by different names.
Spanish test also. Grr. Grammar sucks. Give me a dictionary and a conjugation chart (even just for the irregulars, I can do the normal stuff) and I can write you anything you want. It's hard when I don't know what the verbs mean a lot of the time (which I need to fix), as I can't take cues from that when determining which tense to use when it's in a paragraph. But I don't think there's any of that on the test, just loads of irregular verbs and two relatively easy, yet new tenses.
I'm sort of stuck on the history thing. These plans of investigation are supposed to be a decent sized paragraph, and I've got mine all down in 2 sentences. So I'm working on
xx_housecat_xx's Cameron/Cuddy meme. Just as a sort of thing to distract me from the history so my brain can figure out what to write for the investigation.

Date: 2006-09-15 11:16 pm (UTC)*snort* Yes, I am willing to bet that licking power cords could be bad for you in the long run. Personally, I'd recommend batteries :|
Good luck in your bio test!
Yay, my meme! I might actually do it as well.

Date: 2006-09-16 03:59 am (UTC)Really? Whyfore possibly not?
Yay power cord licking. It was late, and I definitely wasn't thinking, so it was like *buzzt* and I was like "whoa." Batteries are much safer, IMO, as they've got a lot less juice in there.
Good luck in your bio test!
Thanks mucho. I think I got it, more or less.
Yay, my meme! I might actually do it as well.
I finished the Cameron last night, but some of the Cuddy ones are giving me trouble. The Cam ones, however, are very much my take on the more assertive her that started to show last season, so it doesn't really sound quite right. Yay for characterization!wank.
And you should. It's interesting to see what everyone is putting.

RE: Bio test: Yay!
RE: meme: I think I shall print off the questions, sit in my room and answer them. Reason for printing them off and sitting in my room: My sister is kicking me off the computer for the time being. Ugh.
RE: assertive Cameron: Yay! I do so love season 2 Cameron more than season 1 Cameron. That's what you meant by 'last season', right?

Date: 2006-09-17 03:29 am (UTC)Hmm. I was going to say, on some people's journal layouts I have trouble highlighting; it will highlight from the top to the first place I click/drag, not from where I click to where I drag it to. But on the email things, that's weird.
Ahh, I very much know the being kicked off the computer phenomenon. I'm on the computer really only late at night during the week, and even on the weekends only rarely (like even now, my brother's on the computer, and I'm only on because my dad's laptop happened to be by the couch) because people are always on the computer. My brother and sister are constantly playing Sims on there. Which also has made the computer killer slow.
Yay! I do so love season 2 Cameron more than season 1 Cameron.
Me too. Yeah, season 2 being last season. Season 3 Cameron is already seeming not to be one that I'm going to like, judging simply from the her crying in Tuesday's previews. (Unless she has a really good reason to cry, but I'm guessing not, as Cuddy didn't have a good reason either.) Though the face that she made when the guy told her that he wanted to have sex with his wife (totally typed 'her wife' there at first, XD) was great.

Date: 2006-09-17 09:39 am (UTC)I know EXACTLY what that's like. My brother and sister are either playing the Sims 2 (which, like you said, makes the computer so slow it's almost frozen) or this Insaniquarium game they bought. Sadly, my parents are addicted to it too. It's just not right! They're my PARENTS for God's sake. So I'm constantly battling my family members to get on.

Stupid Australian television! I only watched Euphoria Pt. 2 last week, and after the next episode (which I think is Forever, am I right?) channel 10 will no doubt fall back into it's old pattern - one or two new episodes, followed by one or two repeats. Season two has been airing since early/mid FEBRUARY. It is now SEPTEMBER. It sucks so much. They probably won't start showing season 3 until next February here. Therefore I have no idea what this season three Cameron is, although I will more-than-likely still love her. [/rant]
Unless she has a really good reason to cry, but I'm guessing not, as Cuddy didn't have a good reason either

totally typed 'her wife' there at first
Cameron is totally my wife O.o
Oh yeah, and RE: stupid highlighting thing: I've only managed to do it because I highlighted the text from my comment-alert-email, and pasted it into this reply.
Now I shall type up my CameronCuddy meme answers and post them.

Date: 2006-09-18 05:01 am (UTC)Ooh, ouch. My mom plays Text Twist all the time, but she's usually on the laptop, which we don't generally use as it has a password lock and we'd have to get one of the parental units to type it in every time. That has got to suck.
Yeah, nobody believes me when I say that Sims 2 has killed our computer. I try to tell them that to log off of one of the Windows accounts and on to the next one, it takes literally more than 10 minutes, higher if you first have to exit Sims (which, as my brother and sister never close the program if they can help it because it also takes a long time to load, is most of the time), but nobody has done anything about it. Grr.
Therefore I have no idea what this season three Cameron is, although I will more-than-likely still love her.
I'll probably love her just because she's Cameron, but if they make her whiny again and less like a-little-more-assertive-season-two!Cameron, I'll be dissapointed.
The TV bit sucks, though. That's one of the reasons I like America. We get lots of good TV first.
Three letters, my friend: PMS.
LoL. Yeah, possibly. I still didn't like it though. Seemed to come out of nowhere.
Grr at my shift key not working right. It's better than it used to be, but I still have to hit it extra hard to get it to work.
I highlighted the text from my comment-alert-email, and pasted it into this reply.
Ahh, so it's not the email bit that's giving you trouble with highlighting? Crazy. I tend to reply on the emails anyway, just for ease of not having bazillions of windows open. Keeps you stuck using your default icon, but the highlighting problems that I have on certain layouts don't happen.
Yay Cameron/Cuddy meme answers. I still haven't gotten any farther on mine, as I've got an English paper to (not) do and when I'm not (not) doing that, I'm trying to get down as much of this story idea that I had as possible before I forget it. I hate that, though, as I'm trying to get it down, but I don't like how I'm phrasing things, and it's not reading like it was in my head, and it seems that I get these ideas and my writing never does them anywhere near justice.
