More posts, just to annoy people and because I'm not really tired.
I'm afraid I'm getting sick again. I've got a sore throat. I just got over a cold last week, and I was pretty sure it was all the way gone as I had no symptoms all this week, but now I'm not feeling so good.
On my Star Trek RPG (on which I happen to be on the slowest ship ever) I posted something rather explicitly hinting for a certain character to jump in so maybe I could actually do some roleplaying with someone besides myself, and he didn't catch the signal. I reposted it, adding an out of character note saying that if he wanted to, he could jump in to get me started, and he responded that he figured that was what I wanted him to do, "but I don't jump through hoops". Interacting with someone on an RPG isn't jumping through hoops, it's playing the freaking game! Especially because my character works under his (though from what I've seen I'm a better RPer, I had to start again at Ensign when I rejoined, three ranks and several CMO positions below where I was when I left) he should be making an effort to get me into the game, even if only so he can delegate things to me for when the medical parts of the sim. If when I was CMO I were to be as (for lack of a better word) uncooperative as that, I think my COs would have been very displeased.
The whole ship doesn't seem to be very friendly. I sent emails to both the CMO (the character I'm referring to) and the CO introducing myself and I got short and very uninformative answers. I just don't really feel welcome.
