Dyed my hair.
Ergo, my scalp is orange.
Definitely not going to get my ID picture taken today.
I wish my hair was red already and not this stupid blonde color. Then I wouldn't have to spend an hour in the shower rinsing the henna off. And pick flecks of henna powder out of my ears for the next week.

Date: 2006-08-23 09:24 am (UTC)I had the same problem.
I used to dye mine a copper-ish colour and it constantly hapened to me.
The worst, though, was when I spray-painted it green for the school carnival. It came out of my hair in the wash, but my scalp stayed green for like a week.
Not good.

Date: 2006-08-24 04:29 am (UTC)Hee. In 8th grade, the freshman world history teacher (who was also one of the football coaches) sprayed my entire head during my (first hour) class with him while we were watching a movie in his class right before homecoming. I had to walk around with half my head green and half gold all day. Much the same thing happened to me--green scalp and red hair for the next few days, it looked quite interesting.
I can't get the picture she just took on to the computer, as I don't know where the cord for the camera is (plus it doesn't look that good), but I've got an older one that I took relatively soon after I dyed it, and you can see it's all up with the orange. That was a while ago, however, when I was still using straight henna. Now I mix it with stuff that makes it darker and rather more natural looking.
Isn't a terrific picture, but hey.

Date: 2006-08-24 10:44 am (UTC)I probably wouldn't have sprayed mine, but Perfect was the one doing the spraying, so, naturally, I was first in line.
(God, I am so sad...)
Wow, you look so much like my best friend it's scary.
Her hair is actually that colour, too!
I don't know much about Henna; I've only ever seen it used to do those tattoo things...

Ahh. Yes, indeed. I do know that phenomenon. The volunteering-for-everything-that-has-anything-to-do-with-her thing was a major part of my life for quite a while.

Date: 2006-08-25 07:57 am (UTC)I'm actually trying to keep awau from her at the moment; a) because I really need to get over her, and b) Because I can't talk properly due to the retainer, so her name is currently 'Jethica'.

Ooh. Ouch. Still, just think. You've gotten them over with. Imagine me with braces/retainer. By the time I get them, I'll be in med school. "He'th gone into Dithiminated Intravathcular Coagulation!"

Date: 2006-08-27 05:55 am (UTC)I have a natural lisp (Noty really bad, but still noticable sometimes) so my parents have agreed to get me speech therapy for that exasct reason - medical terms are too complicated if 's's are 'th's.

Date: 2006-08-27 06:23 am (UTC)Does that work when you're older? I know that in my elementary school I had kids that left class for 30 minutes or so a few times a week to go to the speech/reading therapist that was
there, but I've always sort of assumed that you had to get it done early.

Yup. Especially with all the drug names. A lisped s could get a totally different drug administered than the one you wanted.
