Them being in character and then losing it right at the end...guh.
That was one of the main things I wanted to make sure I got in--acting out a part is no problem, because if the next movie called for Holmes and Watson to get it on pleasepleasepleaseplease, I could see RDJ and Jude rehearsing it and if it got a little heated, so much the more in character. Whatever, you know, method acting. But they'd been flirting for hours ages in and out of character, and RDJ calling out Jude's name at the end--anyway, very pleased you liked that, because it was important for me to have in there to suggest that there was more beyond just the two actors rehearsing.
And. . . erm, not at the moment (we're coming up to the first tests of the semester, so I'm probably going to. . . idk, lock down my keyboard or something to only organic chemistry), but hopefully eventually? I've been thinking about it since it was first inquired about, and I almost want them to pick a different scene rather than just rehash the one that's already been done. If not, it will either turn into something close enough to the original that it's boring, or I leave out most of the improv-y Holmes/Watson-ness and it's a much shorter PWP. Not in itself horrible, but I'd like to get to play with their mind!versions of Holmes and Watson again, if only to let them hide behind something to ease beyond the awkwardness of a first time actual sex scene where it's just RDJude.
Problem is, that's the scene in the movie in my mind that most lends itself to a porny cutscene. I mean, did you see how blatant that jump is? This actually came about because I've been fiddling with an in-character scene (that's going to feel totally repetitive whenever I finish it now, as it's basically this but with actual sex and added bonus of Irene actually getting to watch rather than just being ignored and thereby gone) that explains how there's a weird cut and then all of a sudden they're all in different positions and dressed differently and Watson's sling is gone, etc. etc.
Suggestions are totally welcome! I haven't watched it in a while (waiting for the film to come to my dollar theatre before seeing it a bazillion more times). I can't promise anything, naturally, and it'll probably be a few weeks before I don't feel so guilty doing anything but school that I'm unable to write coherently, but if anybody has bits of the film they think RDJude should improv gushy romance around, let me know!
