Just skimmed so the movie wouldn't be spoiled, but I had to say, these books ROCKED.
My husband, who hate vampires, hates romance and hates YA, read them in a fit of total boredom (after I warned him repeatedly that he'd hate them) and he LIKED them. He's flabbergasted. But Stephanie Meyer writes like I do, so I think that helped, and Bella reminded us both of me.
I'm still reluctant to see the movie because it looks like they trashed the characters--the actors look NOTHING like them (except Bella, a little) and the couple scenes I've seen haven't matched up (and that drives me nuts) with the books. I need to see it soon, though, before it gets spoiled all up and down for me and I don't have to bother seeing it. But all the trailers for it have made me want to reread the books again (one of only 3 series that I can still reread happily).
