Somebody told the principal, and now there's a huge mess of (in my opinion) illegality. Every entry that talked about being a student at the school that they could identify, they called the parents of that person. Not just the harassing ones. Everyone.
Now, I've got to say, they're pretty darn stupid to put their picture and name and school up someplace. I very nearly think that they deserve what they get. But still, this is so many ways of wrong.
These kids were not on the website during school hours, or using school computers. Therefore, (and I have no law experience besides a basic understanding of the constitution, but it seems obvious) the school has no jurisdiction.
If I were one of those people, I'd get a lawyer and fight that. There needs to be some good internet precedent. Might as well set it.
