T'Pol/Hoshi, Kristin, and Icons

So, today was very productive in the fanfiction area. No, I didn't write anything. But you should see the fragments of stories I'm starting to build up. I wrote a few lines each of two today, plus probably 12 more just floating around randomly from before, and that's not even counting the ones I've written down the ideas for but not written.

I built back up my library of T'Pol/Hoshi Sato fic (after having to wipe my hard drive about 6 months ago, I never got around to finding all the stories I had archived again.

I found a fic that I wrote last April, and had forgotten about completely.

I updated my bookmarks to the new LingData forum site. (I have to say, I liked the old version a lot better. It had a great layout, and more stuff than just the forum. It probably was too expensive, though.)

I re-read this RR that I jumped into in May of '04. The last post on that thread, though, was me, almost a year later, wondering where everyone was. I'd really love to get it going again, as now I have a year of RPGing under my belt (and I was good. Ask anyone on the site.) and probably will be better at it since I've built up my skills. Last night, I downloaded the first episode of Kristin. It took four hours, thirty minutes-ish. I downloaded episodes 2 and 3 at school today (I happened to find one computer that lets you use USB port drives in math. I had to delete everything from my mp3 player to put it on there because I didn't have anything else) in about 5 minutes apiece. I hate dialup.
Problem is, episode 1, part two cuts off almost 2 minutes early. I downloaded it twice at home, and once at school, and it does it every time. :(
I'm 43% into episode 4 part 3 now.

Just in case you were wondering, I count the intro as part 1, the next bit as part 2...

I've been planning these two icons ever since I watched the episodes, but my icon animator software thing's free trial expired, so I can't do it like I want to. They're both Chenzel themed, and I don't exactly know how I'd do it, but one would be (ep2 pt2) when she's like "Area 51. Authorized personnel only." I have the cap of her with her arms crossed across her chest, and I want it to go from that, to a shot of Idina, with an arrow pointing to her saying "Authorized Personnel."
And the other: not sure of the picture or the exact wording, but it'll be like "Sorry, Taye. I'm playing with Bible-Belt Barbie." Possibly the gropage picture.
I need the animator, though, because I want the first one with two pictures and the second has too many words for one frame.

And my stupid, knockoff photoshop makes the words fuzzy when I try to put text on 100x100 stuff. See Kaylee/Inara icon for an example.

I think the icons I'm most proud of would have to be the House/Wilson one with the cane; the Cameron/Cuddy one, just because of the amount of work put into the actual manip; the Wicked text one, because that quote kicks ass; and my "Beyond the Rainbow" ones (the one I use has a square border, I couldn't fit the words on the cooler bordered one).
Basically, the ones I use. I do actually have a lot more. I keep other people's icons on my hard drive so I can look at them and smile, but I only actually use mine.

Got that stupid old Jekyll/Hyde paper due Friday. Technically, the draft was due last Friday, but I still haven't gotten around to writing it.
