this seems very off topic, but it made sense in my head
No, no, no, no, off-topic is awesome. Where else would the conversation go? We'd be going around in circles! Or, worse, hit a dead end!
the girls are all dumb and just hang out with each other and instant message their families and such.
That's pretty stupid. Aren't they there to experience what it's like to be an American student? I totally wouldn't do that. I mean, sure, if I was from a completely foreign country and didn't know hardly any english I'd probably feel a little out-of place and homesick, and then I'd like to keep in touch with my family, but... not all the time. I'd still love to learn as much as I could about the way things work in that country.
if I went over and hung out with you, because I'd actually hang out with you and not be all snobby and annoying
And then I could Australianize you! ...*snort* But yeah. I know you wouldn't do that. I reckon you'd be all with the learning and asking questions. And answering questions. And correcting other people's answers. *giggles* I think it'd be awesome to host an exchange student. Even though I suck with the whole communication thing when it comes to people who know hardly any english or have really really heavy accents.
And then the exchange student decides she wants to buy her lunch from the cafeteria. Umm, so where's your money? The hoster had to go ask somebody else to buy the lunch on promise of paying them back and ended up missing like half of her lunch because she had to sort that all out.
That's, um, fucked up.
I got offered the exchange student's packed lunch
Haha, well, I guess that's an up-side! Not for your friend though. I'd be so pissed off if I was her.
Oh, no way. Seriously?
Yeah, serious. I still sort of remember it. It was rather strange. My boss would tell me to do something and I'd see another employee or a customer and be all "Yeah, I'm just going to hit on them now." It was pretty amusing. Luckily the dream ended before I got around to my boss. That would have been more disturbing than amusing. *shudder*
Gotcha. Indeed it will/is/was. <- See Alexandria. See Alexandria conjugate. See Alexandria conjugate 'to be'.
