The dentist is going to drill the shit out of my teeth tomorrow.
I was never afraid of the dentist when I was younger. But I suppose I've never had a cavity before. Now I've got a couple of obvious ones. But the dentist may not notice, as I've had two forever that were visible even way back the last time I went (which, embarrassingly enough, was several years ago) and he didn't do anything about them. They're on the side of my tooth, though, and don't look like real cavities, just holes. Still, I don't know how he can drill those without shattering the tooth.
But yeah, so I'm pretty damn scared now. Like I said, never used to be afraid, but my friend's sister got the drill dropped in her mouth by a dentist (not mine, but all the same) and I've been rather apprehensive since, as I know I'm going to get drilled on, and the dentist we go to has never struck me as particularly good at his craft. Nice, yes, and he'd always only charge us the copay even if the dentistry insurance or whatever wasn't covering at that time because of a deductible or whatever, which was great especially when we were little, but he never noticed the two holes on the side of my 2nd from the back molars on each side.
So yeah. This is going to suck.
As is the little kids' part of the summer orchestra concert on Wednesday. As the conductors didn't cut any of the songs a few weeks ago (like we helpers had been discussing the need to do) so they could work on only a few of them, instead of like 8. Because on the last practice, we got through 2 songs working on them, and then only had 5 minutes left to run through all the rest. And running through didn't do them much good. If we had cut the ones that it was obvious from the beginning that they were never going to get at the beginning, they would have concentrated their efforts on the ones that it was possible for them to play well, and not suck as badly as they are going to.
The older-younger kids' part sounds pretty good though. Because the music was easy as all get out. I was honestly really bored the entire time.
