I thought that, too, when I first got my laptop. I was all "GET ME A MOUSE DAMMIT! D<' By the time mum gave me her old one, I was so used to the touch-pad that I didn't use it.
Sometimes I even find myself trying to find the touch-pad (Goddamit that word sounds dirty sometimes.) on a PC. It can be quite amusing to watch, apparently.
