So I'm going to this thing that I heard about through my aunt's big Unitarian conference (they all call it "The G. A.") tomorrow. Gotta leave at about 7:45, which is about when I've been leaving normally, so it shouldn't be bad. But I'm a bit worried, as I don't know exactly what's going on: it's some volunteer thing for part of the time, and the other part we're talking about activism and volunteering and some other stuff that I forgot. But that's it. I dunno where we're going or what it's going to be like there.
And it's going to be hot. Not as bad as before, a good 10 degrees lower than a few days ago, but me with my sun phobia (and lack of SPF 50. I'm going to have to settle for 30 -- the horrors!) and not knowing if I'll be able to get water or if we're indoors (which I doubt, as the volunteering was something about fixing up a St. Louisan's house. What I want to know is why they won't fix up my house.) and if I can find shade, I'm rather anxious.
I've been going back and forth to the computer burning CDs all day today and yesterday. As, for some reason, our burning software won't let you burn them both in the same drive (source disk to computer to blank disk on same drive), I have to put the source in the DVD burner and the blank in the CD burner, and the DVD burner is a lot slower. And my aunt wants something like 30 CDs from my parents' collection. (It's all old music. And not even good old music. Though I did just do the Stones for her, which wins points.) But I can't do anything else while it's burning, or it will screw up. Which is bad.
But I'm going to bed now, as I've got to get up early and take a shower and go to this thing.
saturn_hime -- call me about this thing on Sunday. Are we still going? You should have my number, if not, email me.
Katie -- if you happen to read this, I haven't sent you your mail yet, as I've not found good fic to enclose yet. Or written any kind of letter type thing. But I will. Eventually. I may just have to mail it to your house, as it may not get there before you leavefor college at the rate I'm going. But it's still fun to get mail, yes?
