Snapshots of a Lady

Well, I hadn't cried over a fic in quite a while now.  At least, not to this extent.  Probably not since the lovely (and highly reminiscent of my situation at the time) "Cultural Differences"   Story was called "Snapshots of a Lady".  CSI, Sara/Catherine.  http://www.ralst.com/Snapshots.HTM  Must try and stop bawling whenever a beautifully romantic story ends in the characters growing old and dying.  That usually hits me harder than when one dies of an accident (though I admit, I cried at the ER episode "Where There's Smoke..." when Sandy died) and I don't really know why.  Possibly because the accidental character death plot is rather cliche and written by every upstart 12 year old fic author and natural death is usually only approached by the very good and very experienced (you see why I haven't touched it). 

Completely different track, I'm half watching Andromeda and wondering:  Beka/Rommie/Trance/Doyle.  That would be cool.  Not the 15 year old boy's orgy version, but a committed relationship between the four of them.  The whole polygamous thing is approached by Voyager authors with Janeway/Torres/Seven sometimes, but has anyone ever gone for four?  One of the last episodes before the hiatus (that I'm pretty sure they're never coming out of) had quite a few moments with the four of them.  Walking off together, general flirtyness.  Must find screencaps.
