Caught some kind of 24 hour food poisoning from the oatmeal raisin cookies at the mini medical school thing. And there's absolutely no irony in that!
So I wasn't at school today. (Meaning Wednesday. Which is no longer today, but still.) Which sorta sucked. Because now I've got to go pay to see the school play to do my analysis of it for theatre class, instead of going to the dress rehearsal for free. And I've now got to make up a chemistry quiz, a bio test, and take a math test all tomorrow/soon. And read a whole bunch of chapters in that stupid Canadian history book and the stupid Latin American history book. By Friday. Which isn't going to happen. Honestly. Nothing good happened in Canada. Ever. They film some good Sci-Fi TV shows there. That's it. I'm appreciating the Latin America book more and more because the Canada one is just so horrible. I'm going to try to find a kiddie Canada book at the library tomorrow, read that instead so I actually have some idea of what to write on the essay for the quiz on Friday.
No Bones on tonight, and the stupid baseball game it was canceled for got rained out and so wasn't even on. Curses.
I was going to go outside (You're all thinking 'Her? Sun? No way'. It was 6:30 at night. So not much sun. And I had sunscreen on.) and play soccer with my sister tonight, but just as we were about to go out the door, it started with the raining. Sadness. Kaci was angry.
The lady running for state representative for my district talked to my liberal union thing, and was all with the praising of me (she mentioned it quite a few times) for this ally week thing that I'm organizing that she heard about at the beginning of the meeting. Yay for that. I was all *blush*.
Somebody broke the screen part of my back door. You know how there are two doors sometimes, a wooden one and a glass/screen one? The spring thing that makes the screen bit close again after you open it isn't there anymore (actually, I think it is there, just hanging off of the door), and so if you open the door, it just swings all the way open (farther than it should open, it just goes until it hits the side of the house) and you've got to manually close it.
There's that wintry smell out. I don't know how else to describe it, just that crisp smell of winter. It's supposed to get down close or right below freezing tonight, and only be slightly above it by the time in the morning I go to school. That's going to be fun, as I can't so much bring a coat because I share my locker with two other people and we won't be able to fit all of our stuff in there with coats too. But I love the cold, so it's okay.
Lisa E. doesn't know command form in Spanish. (Is there another name for that? That and imperative is all we ever called it.) I know command form. Yay for Spanish lip kissing. (Bésame Ud. en los labios, Lisa!) The spanish translations for the subtitles were wrong, at least at one point. Lisa's like "She did come back" and the subtitles said that she did not. And there was a use or two of the vosotros form when the director guy was just talking to Hugh. Yay, me catching spanish mistakes. But really just mistakes in what was happening.
So I'm not getting all of the House Unplugged thing, but some. Which is good. (I just caught 'my whore'. Yay, whore. Cuddywishes she was is my whore.)
Dubbing is funny. Stacy's dubber for the bit I just saw of her talking to Cuddy sounds majorly like somebody from one of those overly dramatic spanish soap operas. The inflections and all. And in the "House, you are. . . as God made you" bit, the fake!Wilson was laughing. But not sad, cynical laughing, real laughing. RSL acted that bit well, and dubberman ruined the mood of the scene. And the part where Wilson sawed through House's cane and House falls, there's all this grunting and gasping in the dub (LOL, dirty mind) that Hugh didn't do.
Did RSL say that he thinks that Wilson enjoys House? I think so. Awesome word choice.
It's so hard to pick things out when they've got Lisa talking in english, the dub of her on top of it, a dubbed clip going on in the other corner, and "Hallelujah" playing on top of it all. Give us non-spanish speakers a break here! I really wish they'd redo this in english, because even a translation of what's being said takes away so much of it, because it's a translation of a translation, and when the first translation isn't all that precise. . . .
(Ignore the fact that this is probably not right at all. I just found it entertaining that when I was watching the Unplugged thing and writing in here, I switched to writing in spanish without noticing at first. Then I just decided to continue for fun.)
(Hey, does anybody know if the quiero decirla thing is right? That's not how I was going to say it; I had it in future tense, but I checked on some website online to make sure I was conjugating it correctly, and they said to use querer + infinitive instead for having the willingness to do something. I wonder if this is specific to certain areas of the world or something.)
How would you say 'fuck-me shoes' in spanish? Los zapatos de Lisa que se llaman los "fuck-me shoes"? Well, I know what I'm going to spend my spanish class looking up. Hope that's in the dictionary. (But the shot when people were taking pictures of them and Lisa did the eyebrow thing? Yeah, era calor.)
Grr. Internet down. Really, probably my arsehole of a father turned it off again. And it's not even that late, not even 11pm on Wednesday. So must post this later. And I don't have my history stuff finished yet. I need to look up some more stuff for the background for a project that I missed the first day of working on. Lovely.Fucker.
So yeah. Ignore the fact that I haven't checked my email in so long that I've got bazillions of messages. Because I've only been getting on every couple of days for any substantial period of time lately. Which is not with the making of me happy.
But the entire internet (okay, maybe just my friends list) speaks/writes like me, which is entertaining, because they're all up with the crazy convoluted "not with the making of me happy" and "And that's my story" and my extremely overused "yay!"s.

Ours starts at 8:25.
Grr. No fair. We get out at 2:30. So not even that much earlier than you, and yet a whole hour earlier in the morning. Craziness. How many classes do you have a day? (Or how do they split up your day? Is it completely different than here?)
I've got 7 classes of 50 minutes each plus a 30 minute lunch and 5 minutes between classes (that you spend walking really fast to the next class as some of them are rather far away and when it's raining/snowing/really hot, it's hellacious outside). I don't have any idea how that ends up being 7 hours as I just mathed it and it's not, so I wonder where they're sticking this extra time to make us get out at 2:30. Curious.
Yeah I have to do that in winter, because I'm extra lazy when it's cold.
Oh, me so much too. It gets to where I'm like "Hey, let's wear the same shirt to school that I wore to bed so that it's already warm and I can just slip a bra on under it instead of exposing all that flesh to the cold air when I try to change the shirt. Sounds good."
I struggle to understand how some people can just... do it all so easily! Like, all their assignments and stuff!
Me too. It's pretty crazy. Even if you could, why would you want to? If I were to do all my homework to the best of my ability on time, I would not only be getting even less sleep at night but wouldn't have any time to do anything even remotely fun. (Which for me pretty much means watching House and random other shows and reading fic.)
I really dislike that subject. I just sit there and scribble random stuff during tests, and I still haven't handed in an assignment from last term!
Yeah. I do that too. There was a chemistry quiz from last quarter that I was supposed to make up but just never did. Teacher didn't bug me about it and I just forgot. I assume it got factored in to my grade last quarter, so it didn't hurt me too bad. I've given up trying to get an A in that class. Even if the math of my grades says I should get an A (as it did last quarter), the teacher won't give me one because she doesn't like me. Grr.
The closest class we've got to SOSE I figure is plain old history, which I loved last year but hate this year as our teacher is incompetent. I try to take notes, but it seems like he's not saying anything. For example. I didn't even keep all my notes together
wellat all until half way through the year last year, and yet just the pages I can scrounge up from the first semester and the pages I kept from second add up to about 80. With pretty much no spaces, as I refuse to waste paper in such a manner. This year, we're more than half way in to the first semester, probably about 1/3 into the year, and I have 4 pages of history notes. And most of that is just random facts that the teacher throws out that have nothing to do with the topic we're on such as the fact that there was a territorial miniwar between my state (Missouri) and Iowa over a bunch of land with honey trees on it. Pretty cool war. Like the Aroostook war. That's a fun one too. Maine and Canada over a bunch of logging land. /random history stuffOnly Bones now, seeing as House finished last week.
Huh? Oh, I suppose you're still on season 2 then. Hee. Yay, season two. Yay season three, for that matter. And yay season one also. We'll just say yay, House.
And then while you try to catch up you miss the NEXT thing the teacher is teaching and blah.
Exactly. I'm constantly doing that. That's one of the other reasons that I don't get as good of grades as I should.

I have tons of your replies/comments scattered through my whole inbox! I'm going to try work my way through them =)
Or how do they split up your day? Is it completely different than here?
From what you've told me it is. We have six periods a day, each going for about 50 or 55 minutes, with a twenty-minute recess and forty-minute lunch. At least... I think that's how long they are. Anyway. We have a twenty minute homeroom type thing in the morning, too. So it goes PCG (the homeroom type thing. I don't know what your equivalent is), periods one and two, recess, periods three and four, lunch, periods five and six, home.
"Hey, let's wear the same shirt to school that I wore to bed so that it's already warm and I can just slip a bra on under it instead of exposing all that flesh to the cold air when I try to change the shirt. Sounds good."
I do that! Only I can't really do it for school, because of our uniform. And (in winter) I'm odd in that I wear a bra to bed on most occasions, so if I'm going somewhere in casual clothes I leave my pyjamas on and slip another top or jumper over the top. Quick. Simple. Easy. Wwwwwarm. And you hardly sweat or anything in winter so there's nothing gross about it.
Oh, but how horrible is showering in winter? I mean, the actual showering is awesome because of the heat and the fun steam, but then once you turn the taps off and get out... hell. So cold! Unless you were blessed with those heat-lights in your bathroom. Which I was not, despite much nagging and begging. So I end up turning the tap off, standing in the last clouds of steam for a few seconds to take a breath and prepare myself, then jumping out and drying myself off with the towel as quickly as possible. Which sometimes proves disastrous, with the wet floor and the jumping and such.
Which for me pretty much means watching House and random other shows and reading fic.
Me too!
Yay, season two.
I agree. The DVDs have been out for a few weeks now, and I'm itching to get them. That whole season was awesome. Once you ignore all the Stacy parts.
Yay season three, for that matter
Oh, definitely. Especially yay season three Cameron. She bugged me at first, but now she's awesome. Well, in the last two episodes she's been awesome. And in the last episode Chase was so infuriating. And Foreman and House and Wilson and Cuddy are always consistent, so they've just been themselves (Which means awesome for all but Foreman. I am still not speaking to him after he was such a bitch to my Cameron). But I am rather biased, what with this huge fangirl crush on Cameron and all.
We'll just say yay, House.
Yay for that! It is by far my most favourite TV show, EVAR.

(the homeroom type thing. I don't know what your equivalent is)
Though I know lots of other schools in the area have one, we actually don't. Which is sad. Because if I had a homeroom each day where we didn't do anything (do you have to do anything in there?), I wouldn't have to pretend I was taking notes in history while actually doing my homework for next hour, I could just do my homework for next hour. T'would greatly improve my efficiency in the homework doing if I didn't have to look up at the board/teacher every once and a while to show that I was "paying attention".
That's crazy, the recess thing. I haven't had recess since elementary school. And even then, only the recess that comes after lunch in 4th and 5th grade (age 9 and 10) because back then, if you were in orchestra, you missed the second recess. 20 minute recess. 40 minute lunch. I'm moving to your school. *shakes head* You all are slackers down there, eh? XD
Only I can't really do it for school, because of our uniform.
Ergh. Are uniforms really common down there? Though I know some public schools require them (or were talking a lot about requiring them), around me it's only the private ones that make you wear uniforms.
And (in winter) I'm odd in that I wear a bra to bed on most occasions, so if I'm going somewhere in casual clothes I leave my pyjamas on and slip another top or jumper over the top.
Yeah, I do that sometimes, but I don't really have many sports bras or anything that fit
well enoughat all save maybe two that don't have annoying jabby underwire bits. So I do that with those two (like I did last night) but the rest of the time I take it off because I'm not a fan of being uncomfortable. And you hardly sweat or anything in winter so there's nothing gross about it.
Exactly! Though my father seems to think otherwise. Him this morning: "Didn't you wear that shirt to bed?" Me: "Yeah." Him: "Don't you think that's skuzzy?" Me: "No, I think that's warm."

Not really. We have our names ticked off and one person reads out a prayer (being a Catholic school and all) and then the daily notices get read out and stuff. It only goes for twenty minutes (with the exception of Wednesday, when it goes for about ten minutes in the morning) so there isn't really much you can do besides talk or maybe speed through homework. In the Wednesday 40-minute extended PCG session before lunch we either sit there and talk or do House/PCG activities. Or they use that time for assemblies. Which I prefer, because the time goes faster that way.
You all are slackers down there, eh?
*stretches out in chair* Yup.
Haha, you should totally move to my school. And sit with me in SOSE class. Then my dream would really come true! *laughs at people who read this without reading our other conversation*
Are uniforms really common down there?
I'm not sure. I haven't yet seen a school with no uniform. Most public schools just have the school t-shirt with black bottoms (or any kind of bottoms) and the school jumper. Some have actual uniforms, though they're generally not as... complex as private school uniforms. For lack of a better word.
annoying jabby underwire bits
The bra I'm wearing right now has annoying underwire bits that dig into my skin and make it all itchy. Actually... I have no idea why I'm still wearing it. But I try to steer clear of the underwire (and have been told it's a good idea, considering I don't exactly need it), so most of mine are comfortable. I'd still prefer to sleep without them in summer and any other weather that's not cold.
Ugh, discomfort. The other night I was so tired I fell asleep with one of my more uncomfortable bras on, and woke up the next morning with these red raw marks under my bust and on my back from where it had been pressing into the skin all night. And the skin was all itchy, and... ugh.
skuzzy?
*giggles* what an odd word.

Oh, I didn't know you went to a Catholic school. Interesante.
In the Wednesday 40-minute extended PCG session before lunch we either sit there and talk or do House/PCG activities.
Okay, you're going to have to explain that. Because I can't come up with what PCG could stand for that would make sense and by House activities, the first thing that popped into my head was slash writing.
Haha, you should totally move to my school. And sit with me in SOSE class. Then my dream would really come true!
Umm, yeah. That'd be awesome.
I haven't yet seen a school with no uniform. Most public schools just have the school t-shirt with black bottoms (or any kind of bottoms) and the school jumper.
Really? Interesante again. So even public schools are all uniformed up. By more complex in the private schools, you mean with skirts and ties and such, correct? Instead of just shirt/pants/jumper? Urgh. Though I imagine it's easy to get dressed in the morning.
The bra I'm wearing right now has annoying underwire bits that dig into my skin and make it all itchy
Urgh. Yeah, I seem to remember research somewhere a while ago that said something about underwire and breast cancer because of the constant rubbing/jabbing/pressure. It's like my theory about why loads of singer/songwriter types get breast cancer-- it's the guitar strap. Seriously. Only maybe not, because I don't know on which side they wear their guitar strap and if that's the same side with the cancer. But I didn't pay any attention to the research because it was long enough ago that I had no chest to speak of and therefore it didn't apply to me, so I may be wrong. I haven't heard of anything about it since, though, so I'm thinking that maybe it was proven wrong or something. Still. *burns bras*
(and have been told it's a good idea, considering I don't exactly need it)
That's nice. The not needing. I'm right at that line that's not quite OMGChest! but not small enough to get away without good support. It's kinda odd, because I wear Ds and such, but I don't appear to have substantial chest really at all if you just looked at me.
Somewhere in this last 4 months or so I got really self conscious and started wearing a bra even just around my house if I wasn't in my bedroom. Which I thought was odd, as I don't know where it came from. But come to think of it, I didn't today, so maybe that's gone or something. Dunno.
The other night I was so tired I fell asleep with one of my more uncomfortable bras on, and woke up the next morning with these red raw marks under my bust and on my back from where it had been pressing into the skin all night.
Urgh. I woke up after taking a nap this afternoon (because I nap all the time because sleep is good and I practically hibernate in the winter) and I thought I had big nasty stretchmarks on the underside of my left bicep (they looked just like stretchmarks) but it turned out to be the mark from the seam on my shirt. I was freaked out for a little bit, because they were angry red looking bastards. Yeah.
what an odd word.
You know, I had to try to highlight this to copy it like 4 times because it was not letting me highlight both 'what' and 'word' at the same time. Odd. It did, eventually, but that was strange.
Yeah, I don't know where half of my words come from. That's one that my dad actually does use, though; I do know a lot of my strange vocabulary comes from him. Like "Canadia". And such.

Hee. Though I'm somewhat a fan of Stacy just for the angstyhotsex that she can inspire in various members of femslash pairings.
I mean, you've got Stacy/Cameron because they both think they want House and end up with each other, and it ends up being just mean and jealous and competative and somewhat vengeful and more fucking than sex and as such is totally hot. (And then Stacy leaves and Cameron needs a replacement girlfriend and so turns to Cuddy where it all goes happily ever after because she realizes that relationships don't have to be as crazily dysfunctional as the ones she seems to get stuck in.)
And you've got Stacy/Cuddy, which has their friendship to go off of and I can totally imagine them being the kind of friends who go out and get drunk and end up in each other's beds. (I need friends like that.) And then Stacy finally screws House again and Cuddy realizes that Stacy's a slut and decides she prefers immunologists to lawyers.
And finally, Cameron/Cuddy. Through much the same logic as Cameron/Stacy, if you subscribe to that Cuddy's got a thing for House school of thought. Or just because now that Stacy's there, House has one more person keeping him in check, which means the normal holders of the keeping House in check position (being Lisa and Allison) are free to shag like rabbits.
(Notice how I worked Cameron/Cuddy into all of them? Oh, pretty slick am I, eh?)
Well, in the last two episodes she's been awesome.
Indeed. Problem is that the writers aren't writing her consistently. So she's snarky, taking lessons from Cuddy, speaking her mind Cameron one episode (or one scene in some cases) and whinyannoying!Cameron in the next. Some mix of the two is realistic, but not when it's one whole episode one way and one whole episode the next.
And Foreman and House and Wilson and Cuddy are always consistent, so they've just been themselves
True. Though House has been pissing me off of late, especially (I think towards the end of? I can't come up with the exact episode but it might have been "House vs. God") in season two when he was being a bitch to Wilson. In the one episode, where they're playing poker and Wilson asks him to stop being a loser and House keeps on going? I was just like "You're mean. Cut it out or Wilson's not going to
sex youcook for you anymore."(Which means awesome for all but Foreman. I am still not speaking to him after he was such a bitch to my Cameron)
Nor am I.
Though that whole "Euphoria" thing. I had no idea what I was supposed to think after that. Which I suppose is the mark of a good episode. I mean, I felt bad for Foreman in the whole being really sick thing, but hated him for marring the beautifulness of Cameron's thigh. And I wasn't sure whether to dislike Cameron for giving in and being whiny or like her for doing the right thing. The only thing I was for sure about is that I felt bad for Cuddy. Because everybody was picking on Cuddy in that episode.
But then the "we're not friends" thing tipped me squarely over into the hating Foreman section.
Still. House is sex when he's not being a loser to Wilson, Wilson is sex when he's not losing his awesome by sleeping with his cancer patients, and Cuddy is just sex.
no subject
OMG OMG OMG I know. I read a Cameron/Stacy hate!sex fic the other week and I kpet going back to read it again. She is pretty good for those things. Otherwise she can go fall in a hole or something.
mean and jealous and competative and somewhat vengeful and more fucking than sex
And SO HOT.
I need friends like that
LOL.
Cuddy realizes that Stacy's a slut and decides she prefers immunologists to lawyers.
Double LOL.
And yay for Stacy/Cuddy drunk!sex. I should read some Stacy/Cuddy, actually. I usually only read Cameron pairings (Cameron/Cuddy, Cameron/Stacy, House/Cameron and even the occasional Foreman/Cameron) because she is total girlcrush love.
Oh, pretty slick am I, eh?
*giggles* Yes, dear.
So she's snarky, taking lessons from Cuddy, speaking her mind Cameron one episode
And Cathryn loves her
and wants to sex her.and whinyannoying!Cameron in the next
And Cathryn tells her to please shut up
and imagines her being all snarky and hot so she can sex her.they're playing poker and Wilson asks him to stop being a loser and House keeps on going
I HATED that. You're referring to when House revealed Wilson's affair with the patient, yes? That was horrible.
"Cut it out or Wilson's not going to
sex youcook for you anymore."Exactly.
I felt bad for Foreman in the whole being really sick thing, but hated him for marring the beautifulness of Cameron's thigh.
I faced that dilemma also. And I must mention how good Omar was in those episodes.
And I wasn't sure whether to dislike Cameron for giving in and being whiny or like her for doing the right thing
I was prepared to jump her during Euphoria Pt. 2. Not sure why exactly. I think she was just hothothot. That whole snarky, fiery, stressed out thing, probably.
Because everybody was picking on Cuddy in that episode.
I know. *holds her and strokes her hair lovingly*
But then the "we're not friends" thing tipped me squarely over into the hating Foreman section.
I just convinced myself he was lying and went off to read some Foreman/Cameron fics. Sadly there aren't many. I think it could work, to be honest.
House is sex when he's not being a loser to Wilson, Wilson is sex when he's not losing his awesome by sleeping with his cancer patients, and Cuddy is just sex.
So true. *adds* and Cameron is sex when she's not being whiny and obsessive. Which is occurring less and less as the episodes progress. Well, actually, you think she's being less whiny and obsessive, then the writers screw her up again and it's back to square one. Grr. *shields Cameron protectively* Stop spoiling her!
*pants* well, I almost made it through all your comments before being kicked off. *is proud* Must continue tomorrow. Yes.

Stacy is indeed pretty good at such things. She's our resident hate-sexing, lawyering, slutty type.
And yay for Stacy/Cuddy drunk!sex. I should read some Stacy/Cuddy, actually.
Tis a good pairing. Slow, like our Cameron/Cuddyness, but some pretty good authors hang out in that corner of fandom.
And Cathryn loves her
and wants to sex her.Oh yeah. Y yo tambien.
You're referring to when House revealed Wilson's affair with the patient, yes?
Yeahyeahyeah. My dad pretty much decided that he didn't like the show anymore after that episode. He thinks House has gone past snarky and into mean too many times in the last two seasons. And I concur. Though I still like the show. House needs to cut it out, because before it was just that the viewers thought he was snarky and we liked that, but now he's just a bastard more often than not, and that's not cool at all. *is still sore about the Cuddy shower scene*
And I must mention how good Omar was in those episodes
He was at that. I was rather impressed.
I was prepared to jump her during Euphoria Pt. 2. Not sure why exactly. I think she was just hothothot. That whole snarky, fiery, stressed out thing, probably.
Well, she's sort of hothothot in every episode. But yeah. The vulnerable thing got me. I was like
*cuddles**hurt/comfort sexes*.I just convinced myself he was lying and went off to read some Foreman/Cameron fics.
Odd, but okay. I don't really see them, but I see where other people could see it. If that made any sense.
Well, actually, you think she's being less whiny and obsessive, then the writers screw her up again and it's back to square one.
Exactly! That's what I mean. What's with the inconsistant Cameron writing?
