When you're logging into someplace that you don't log into very often (bank stuff, residence hall stuff, etc.) , they should tell you "this password called for at least 6 characters, at least one each of lowercase, capital, and numeric" so you don't have to spend ages going through and trying every combination of passwords/passwords + numbers/passwords with capitalization you have. Grr.
Edit: So okay, I got this thing to work. Now . . . wishing I hadn't. I don't have a problem with conservative people. If you're decent, we can get along fine. Same with religious people. Three suitemates (out of three--every one of them) that list "Jesus" as one of their favorite things, however, and we may have a problem. As in, I marked on the request form that I wanted people that were okay with "alternative lifestyles", but I also requested a specific section/floor--the honors bit--of one of the dorms, and I'm afraid that the latter overrode the former. I suppose I should have anticipated this, going farther south in Missouri, but I didn't. Shit.
A bit worried there, then. Anybody down there wanna give me a different place to live?
Edit again: And LOL, two/three of them are from Peculiar, MO. (I can't find anything much on the last one. The third, the one I'm actually rooming with, is from Arkansas.) This is hilarity.
Moar: It's interesting that most of these (for lack of a better word) hickville schools don't seem to have as strict of age requirements for entering school as the more urban ones do. I've always been the youngest in my grade forever, simply because my birthday is a week before the kindergarten registration cutoff of August 1st--if you weren't 5 by then (and mum tried to get me in at 4 because I could read and do maths and communicate better than half the people who live in my city and such and they were like "Yeah, we would, but county rules say no," so this is a no-exception type thing), you had to wait another year. I think I'm the oldest of all my suitemates. Tis odd.

Hahah christian! *coff*
Plus. You = amazing! *glomps*
Re: Hahah christian! *coff*
Because I'm still playing around with the thing (finally got it to work--took a browser close and it started refreshing right when I chose things from the menus), though,
there are spots in 0823 and 0825 that are 2-person that would at least put you on the same floor as me.Nevermind, looked those up and they're guy rooms. (I think they're two person; they're under the 2 dropdown menu, but the rate code isn't refreshing from 4. Strangeness; you'll have to play around with it.)How did you request your room the first time around? Maybe you could tell them that you were trying to request the scholars' floor and it didn't go for some reason; since you're honors college, you were supposed to get first dibs, they'll at least put you at the top of the list for transfers if anybody switches out--the transfer periods are now through the end of the month, and then again a week or so after school starts, so you've got two chances.
Do you know anybody else going down to MSU? I know of a couple of people from my school (even had a class with two of them), but none of my friends are going to be there.
Re: Hahah christian! *coff*
Well, I was a dipshit and turned my stuff in kind of later, because I gave them the wrong SSN, then couldn't get a fax machine to work for me because I fail. So I'm not quite certain what's going on...
I think I'll ask that question. I'm certain I'm in HC, I signed up for it when I went in to do the interview for the Pres. Scholarship, but maybe they didn't get it? When I get denied for the next request I just made a few hours ago, I'll e-mail the lady back and make certain that I am in fact honors college...*panics a bit*
I know two other people going to MSU, but they weren't really friends. One is very...strange and has an annoyingly pitched voice, and the other is insane. Partier and stuff, not my style, thanks.
Do you have AIM? or google talk?
Re: Hahah christian! *coff*
And I don't, actually, have either of the IM things. I use different computers a lot, especially in the summer when I hang out down at the library (IL that book smell, plus my parents don't like running the air conditioning as much as would be comfortable, so I go hang out and leech literary coldness), plus, idk, I prefer to have the record of email or whatever.
Did you ever tell me when your SOAR thing was? I seem to remember July, amirite?
(Oh, and update on the my suitemates thing? One of them changed her religion thing on Facebook from just "Christian" to "Christian--it's a relationship, not a religion". I've always found that creepy-arsed, marriage to god crap just incestuous as hell--is he the heavenly father or your husband, because you really need to pick just one, IMO.)

But LOLOL at my heterosexuality at this SOAR thing. There was one chick (actually one of the SOAR leaders, unfortunately, and not a frosh) that I found to be posessing the hotness, but several guys that I noted, which is significantly reversed in proportion as to usual. Made me laugh.

And a question, because I'm working on this stuff now. You don't happen to have books for stuff still that I could begborrowstealbuy from you instead of shelling out for the bookstore's outragous markup, do you? I know freshman classes were a while ago for you, but stuff like COM 115 and PLS 101 and PED 100 and such would be what I'm looking for; would you know people trying to get rid of those books, perhaps?
Moar questions. CIS and CSC--there's no difference in the 101 course, right? And are you honors college? I don't remember.
