I want to find out who picks the music for House. Because I love her. It's so cool, I figure they know what she's (I'm assuming she, but could be a man) doing, and are just like "whatever".

Because there are so many House/Wilson songs. All these songs that they picked presumably because they represent House have the Wilson element in them too, which makes it all with the greatnes.

Inspired because I'm listening to "Hallelujah" (the gayest and most House/Wilson song ever) and actually looking closely at the lyrics.

Hallelujah is an AWESOME song. I love Leonard Cohen's original version, but the others have that wonderful "all I really learned from love/is how to shoot at someone who outdrew ya" line.

Hallelujah is an AWESOME song.

Ain't it just?

I love Leonard Cohen's original version

I didn't know that there was a difference. Hmm. I think I've got Rufus Wainwright's version on my computer now.

[identity profile] veils.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
Rufus Wainwright's version wins at life.

[identity profile] crashcart9.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed. I've been switching back and forth listening to that and this song called "Baba Yetu" (from the game Civilization IV) while (not) writing up my Chemistry lab.

There are much better things to do with my time than homework. Installing moodthemes, for one.

[identity profile] veils.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
I want to change my mood theme. And run to the store to buy OK magazine, since teh Lisa is in it and apprently NZ sells it.

[identity profile] crashcart9.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
And run to the store to buy OK magazine, since teh Lisa is in it

Ooh, really? I hadn't heard about that. *looks up*

Ooh, and on the cover of the issue that it says she's in, it's only 25 cents! I'm totally going to have to find this.

[identity profile] veils.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it'll be like, $6 here. Idiot stores.

[identity profile] crashcart9.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I dunno if it is actually only 25 cents, but on the cover of the US version, it says something like "Special Encore Edition, 25 cents". But I'm not sure if the picture of the cover that they have up there is the actual cover of the issue she's in or not.

[identity profile] veils.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I'd pay whatever price they put on it.
Actually that's a lie.
I have like, ten dollars so...I'd pay ten dollars.

[identity profile] crashcart9.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 07:55 am (UTC)(link)
I have like, ten dollars so...I'd pay ten dollars.

Hee. I know what you mean. My thing is, there's probably only one picture of her at the Emmys (where her dress wasn't nearly as cool as the one she wore to one of the pre-parties) and I don't really want a whole magazine for only one picture. I tend to go to the book store, grab the magazine, and sit down and read the part I want to read in one of the book aisles, and then put it back. Because I never have any money.

[identity profile] veils.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 08:14 am (UTC)(link)
I'm going to buy a magazine that I would never usually consider buying tomorrow just because there's a little picture of Emily Deschanel in it.
What I do for the people who are teh sex.

[identity profile] crashcart9.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
What I do for the people who are teh sex.

Indeed. I don't think that I'd go buy things, but I'd search all over the internet for scans and such, being the cheap devious geek that I am.

[identity profile] veils.livejournal.com 2006-09-06 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
I search the internet mostly, but if its possible for me to get my hands on a magazine or something I'll do it. And if its anything to do with Bones, I'll be first in line. With my taser.

[identity profile] crashcart9.livejournal.com 2006-09-06 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
And if it's anything to do with Bones, I'll be first in line. With my taser.

Ahh. Bones is yay. I imagine tasing people is yay also.

[identity profile] veils.livejournal.com 2006-09-06 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
Well I've never tased a person before. But I've seen it on TV. I'm sure if I needed one I could steal one of them nifty ones the policemen have got now.

[identity profile] crashcart9.livejournal.com 2006-09-06 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
Well I've never tased a person before.

I was sort of hoping not.

I'm sure if I needed one I could steal one of them nifty ones the policemen have got now.

Hee. Nifty police tasers. They'll probably beat you up, though.

[identity profile] veils.livejournal.com 2006-09-06 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Probably. And they'll tase me with the taser I'm trying to steal to tase other people with.
Then I'll go to jail.

[identity profile] crashcart9.livejournal.com 2006-09-06 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
And they'll tase me with the taser I'm trying to steal to tase other people with.
Then I'll go to jail.

Indeed. And that would be sad, as you wouldn't be able to watch House or Bones in jail.

[identity profile] veils.livejournal.com 2006-09-06 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
Or read any fic. I'd go even more insane.

I don't know about a magazine, but they were all on [livejournal.com profile] house_daily or something like that.

Leonard Cohen's gives me chills. He sings the verses himself, with a gravely and tired voice. And then for the "Hallelujah" part, it has this choir. And it's AWESOME.

And then for the "Hallelujah" part, it has this choir.

Ooh. That sounds cool. I've always been a sucker for having a full orchestra or choir (or both) jump in at some part of a song.

I am indeed going to have to at that.

But I'm most steadfastly not going to look for one until I finish my chemistry lab.

(Though that sentiment will last about 5 minutes.)
