LOL, finally got around to finishing that Deep Space Nine vid I started ages and ages (like, possibly towards 10 months or a year) ago.

More commentary on this one. There are some bits that I really wanted to redo, as this was the first time I'd really played with WMM, and you can notice at what point in the vid making did I learn certain tricks if you look closely. But because I had certain bits I needed to be at exact certain times (and I couldn't figure out a way to lock one or two clips at certain times and be able to move around the rest without bumping everything), I ended up not fixing the bits I wanted to. Ehh. There are things I'd like to change, things I might change later, and bits that didn't come out the way I wanted them to, but I actually finished it, and I figured I'd better upload it and get it off my computer before something happens and I lose it.

Ahhh, so much love for that episode. I have a running joke with a friend that she gets Jadzia if I get to have Lenara... *sigh* She's so lovely. And if you had been married to her in a former life, well, then, I can definitely understand why Jadzia wouldn't want to lose her again!

*happy sigh* Really, they needed to move in together and snog happily every day for the rest of the show. But I suppose that wouldn't give enough character angst. Silly powers-that-be. ;)

Totally agree! They both are full of the pretty in that episode.

YES! Who needs Worf? He's all possessive and angry, while Lenara is soft and pretteh and smart. They could always add in angst! Angst about how this has damaged Lenara's relationship with her brother, angst about how they have to hide the nature of their relationship from most Trills, angst while they're working to campaign against this brutal and murderous Trill law-slash-taboo, etc! Plenty.

*grumbles* They could have at least stretched out the plot line long enough for them to have had ~~moar~~ sexyfuntimes. Then there could be angst when the Trill Symbiosis Committee guys are all "But they were all rejoined and such" "But they didn't stay rejoined" "Still, this is bad and we should make an example of them" "But then they'll just go back together, which we want to discourage." "Conundrum!" And they're forced back together after a few years when they're both called up for a hearing and have to fight all this stuff, and manage to score one for the good guys and they move in together and snog happily every day for the rest of the show. PLOT.

Hmm. Now I vaguely want to write that.

By the by, have you read the actual script for the episode? It's linked on the blurb bit on Youtube for the vid, and it's interesting just to compare it to the actual episode. There's more about the earrings that didn't get added in, the bit with the slight-of-hand at the beginning of the episode makes a tad more sense, etc.

See, yeah, you could totally have plot! And it's not like other races have never had a character on the show who's totally gone against some major fundamental rule of their society and still gotten to be a major character and survived (usually by not living *in* their society, but hey, Jadzia was in Starfleet anyway--though Lenara wasn't). I'll just be over here encouraging you to write that, if the plot-bunny starts nibbling harder on your ankles...

I don't really have anything against Worf--he and Jadzia had some sweet moments, and I liked their wedding ceremony (though not the stupid drama leading up to it). Of course, the first time I watched DS9 I was a Julian/Jadzia 'shipper (before Lenara ;)), which means I kind of liked Ezri being with Julian--although it would have been even cooler for the next Dax to be a guy, and still have the Worf & Julian angst.

I think there's Ezri/Lenara pro-fic out there, and know there's Ezri/Lenara fanfic. Jadzia/Lenara, though, is the true OTP. *grins*

Also, yay Benjamin for being supportive. Forgot how much I liked the Dax/Sisko friendship.
