(no subject)

I was going to post something here about something. I came up with it in the middle of my last post. And then I got sidetracked making sure the coding was right on the last thing and reading [livejournal.com profile] tamianity's journal, as I've been behind on everybody's lately, and I forgot it.

So this is a completely worthless post. But it's my journal, I'll spam it up if I want to.

I will say this, though, that I just came up with. I need a picture for a Rommie/Beka icon. Because I've already got two Beka/Trance icons (both not on here now, as I've only got so much space), and Beka/Rommie was my original pairing. So I'm going to be combing my DVDs sometime (if I ever get around to it) for aforementioned picture, but if anyone knows of an episode that may have some potential for me to look in. . . .

And with that, I'm off to bed. As I always seem to pick the days I stay up late to coincide with the mornings my dad wants to get up and go to the gym early. In fact, it may not even be worth it to go to bed, as it will just be worse trying to get up. But I will anyway. Because I'm a masochist like that. (And I don't know if I'll be able to get a nap.)

I hate when that happens.
And I feel loved now. :D

By the way, are you an insomniac, or do you just like staying up really late?
Because a large amount of your entries are posted around 4 in the morning.

You should. You win at life.

During the school year, it's because I stay up late working on homework, and just have stuff open underneath. It cuts down on my efficiency greatly, however.

Really, though, I just prefer being on the computer when nobody's around. I'm able to stay on as long as I want without being kicked off because somebody else wants on. And before, when we had dial-up, if I was on during the day, I'd get kicked off because somebody had to make a call or was waiting for a call. And my parents didn't like me tying up the phone line if somebody was out somewhere in case something happened.

And when I'm on the computer and other people are awake (like now) I tend to get bitched at. *shakes fist at mother*

Haha, that's a common phrase on Gaia. Actually, 'you fail at life' is more common, because people where I hang out are bastards, but you know...

I can't do that. If I'm doing homework, it's just homework, because if there is something that I can distract myself with, I'll do it. I have a serious procrastination problem.

I feel lucky now; we have wireless at my mum's house and ADSL at my dad's. At mum's we have her PC, Asha's PC, my laptop and mum's laptop, and at dad's we have my laptop and the PC. We're internet addicts.

I practically never used the internet when we wtill had dial-up at my dad's.
Like, I'd read fic and update my LJ, but it was just too slow for much anything else.
I had a mobile for emergency calls. I can't find it now, though... people hear that, and go "OMG YOU HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO FIND YOUR PHONE FOR LIKE TWO MONTHS AND YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN A NEW ONE?"
They don't seem to be able to process the fact that not all teenagers are obsessed with phones...

We had the same thing, though, when I was younger - we couldn't use the net if we were expecting a call anywhere within two freaking hours of the time.

'you fail at life'

That's really hilarious. My friend Katie and I used that all the time last year. Not even having read it anywhere or anything, I thought we made it up. That was our phrase for everything. "God, [whoever], you fail at life. Just stop. Stop failing, okay?" 'You win at life' just came naturally from that.

I have a serious procrastination problem.

Oh, yeah, ditto. I'll take an assignment like a one paragraph answer to a question that should take me less than half an hour and it'll take me 3 hours because I'll go to look something up on the internet, and then see some news or something on the home page, and read that and then check my mail and then it just goes from there. It'll take me 30 minutes to remember that I'm supposed to be doing something, and then I'll go back to my work, and the cycle starts all over again.

Like, I'd read fic and update my LJ, but it was just too slow for much anything else.

Yeah, that was pretty much it for me too. But that's still more or less all I do online, save that I download a lot more stuff now. Even before, though, I was downloading whole episodes of TV shows even though it was taking like 24 hours straight of download time.

They don't seem to be able to process the fact that not all teenagers are obsessed with phones...

Yeah, I don't have any phone save my normal landline. I've only got one friend that I can talk to for more than 5 minutes, and we don't talk on the phone that often. So I figure I have no reason to have one.
