Kill Ari, part 1

Well, started sobbing when I noticed they redid the credits on NCIS, digressed into bawling when I saw Sasha was downgraded to "Special Guest Star". I liked dom!Kate and superhero!Kate and schoolgirl!Kate. Especially schoolgirlwithskirtflyingup!Kate. That made me happy. And the whole Abby/Kate scene. Tres subtextual. They were so happy. Sort of. Considering the fact that Kate's dead, they were really happy. Remembering all the things they did together. God, I'm starting to cry now. I do wonder what the tattoo was. I'm thinking an black gothic-style 'A' with roses twining around it. But the picture of Abby that Kate drew? It definetly didn't have the cleavage in it in the first season when it was drawn. Instead there was a spiky collar.
I taped Bones instead of NCIS. Furking mistake. Bones wasn't all that good. The first episode rocked, the second... nope. They must rerun it. I must tape. I must get caps.

I just saw Kill Air (Part I) and capped the bat picture to compare to the cap of the original... VERY different. I haven't found anyone else who noticed. I wonder what we're supposed to make of it...

Also, to avoid two random comments, I love the manip from your other post. Kate/Abby stuff is way too rare.

It is rare, isn't it. Googling is how I find the best stuff. Actually how I got into Livejournal. I want more Abby/Kate. *mopes* Actually, wrote like half a page each of 2 different stories, but they need a whole lot of work. If you happen to find any, send it my way?

I hadn't read that fic before. Very sad, and just the type of fic I was searching for the other day! (Kate/Abby, Abby gets told about Kate's death and her immediate reaction. One of the things that bugged me about Kill Ari (Part I) was that we never found out how they had found out about her death.)

We could start an LJ community. It seems easier than a site, both to set up and get others involved in. Just Kate/Abby, or any NCIS femslash?

Exactly what I was thinking. An any NCIS femslash one would get more action possibly, but I don't know if I'd be able to read something like Ziva/Abby just because of the whole Ziva replacing Kate thing, I'm too OTP on our two. I'd go with Kate/Abby.

I'd love to limit it to just Kate/Abby, but with Kate dead there's not likely to be much new stuff to put there...

Yep, that's the one. What did you notice?

Abby's dress. I think that was one of Kate's still in their closet. And Abby's face during that scene reminded me of 'Kill Ari pt. 1' when she had been crying and had no makeup on. Sad memories. But my theory is that Abby is making faces at Ziva because the new girl is the replacement for Kate. And did someone say it had been a hard few months (McGee, perhaps)? One of my friends said someone had, but I missed it. If that's the case, Abby seems to be the only one still mourning (she even said that she still was), indicating a deeper relationship than any of the others.

I noticed that it didn't seem to fit her, which is odd because if she does need to wear similar clothes for court then wouldn't she have some that *fit* and be used to wearring them? She could barely walk in the heels.

When McGee and Ziva are by the fountain Ziva is asking how all the other people on the team usually act. McGee says that Tony and Gibbs are usually like that, but that Abby's usually nice. Ziva concludes that Abby hates her. McGee says "it's been a tough month for..." and it sounds like he's going to say "Abby", but he changes to "everyone".

The music in the "career day barbie" scene reminded me of the dirge she played for Kate.

Ahh, yes. I thought it was close to the same music. I'm so downloading that. So I can sob. Now, Abby is from New Orleans, correct? Then why would she play her music from her tradition from her hometown at Kate's funeral unless that was the only bit she got to do because of the whole legal issue?

There didn't seem to be any ill feelings between Abby and (I assume) Kate's mother at the end. I'd say that if something was going on between them, maybe it wouldn't have been shared with the catholic family. Kate's mother's comment makes it sound like they were Just Friends.

Yes, she's from New Orleans which is the thing behind the music. The more I listen to the dirge and the career day barbie music the more I think they're the same.

Yeah, not a good idea to tell a catholic family you're screwing their pride and joy. Precisely why none of my girlfriends have ever met my family. Though at least with me, it's not the goth girl screwing the catholic, it's the other girl screwing the gothic ex-catholic.
