You know, come to think of it, I think the time when I was all yellowlike was towards the end of the week in which my sunlamp thing wasn't plugged in at all. Which makes some sense, actually, then. Huh. I kinda want to unplug it again for a week and see if it repeats itself. *is too much of a scientist*
That's so something I'd do!
But they're obviously trying to bring him back towards where he used to be with more normal episodes (I think because they were losing viewers as people started to go beyond being pleasantly annoyed by House and into just plain disgusted by his character), which I prefer.
That's good to know!
Urgh. That's horrible. So you don't know if there's a specific cause for your gallstones?
Oh, no, if not porphyria, then it was VERY likely pregnancy. The hormones during pregnancy screw up all your other hormones. The Estrogen can block your insulin, causing temporary diabetes (happened to me), (not sure if it's estrogen or progesterone) [can block] the breakdown of cholesterol (causing gallstones) and other nasty little problems. It's apparently very common--though I never heard of it until I was having my attacks. Also, rapid weight loss can cause them (my SIL found that one out) and I did lose 65 pounds since this time last year. I'm sure that hasn't helped.
My gallbladder's going on Wednesday, though.. I'm kinda scared. Surgery is scary, even routine, completely safe laproscropic surgery.
