Though for some reason I have trouble sometimes getting water to boil.

I have trouble not burning things. I even burnt toffee once. Well, it wasn't even toffee. It was sugar and water. And I burned it so bad it almost caught fire, and the whole house stank really bad. I spent the rest of the afternoon out walking, coincidentally.

and possibly trying not to announce to the rest of the house that you were still up

I suck at keeping my awakeness a secret. Whenever I try to be extra quiet I end up making more noise than usual, so yeah. Badbad.

Though I always wanted it to snow on my birthday. And go ice skating

I love ice skating. I had some wicked falls last time I went. The first time I went straight down on my knees, which wasn't so fun, but the other two times I kinda slid as I went down, and ended up sliding/spinning across the ice on my butt/the side of my leg. Those ones didn't hurt. Okay, so I got all wet, but still. Fun fun fun.
And I've never seen snow. Oh, how I would love to. Well, I will be seeing/touching/skiing on/falling on it next year.

I was always more a fan of the cold than the nasty muggy hot it is here.

Same. And if it MUST be hot, then I like the hot-hot heat, not the muggy-humid heat. Humid akes me want to die. At least you can actually keep cool in hot-hot weather. In muggy-humid weather is near impossible, unless you're like me and can sneak into the big fridge every five minutes at work. That's about all that helps.

Problem is that for some of them, it was so hot that it was horrible

Like my sister's 8th birthday part on Saturday. We're having it at this park, and it's going to be thirty degrees. Not fun, particularly when there's 25-odd seven year olds running around. I have been appointed Face Painter. Which I'm actually really looking forward to. I don't mind little kids too much, and I like to paint things, so it should work out okay. At least I'll be in the shade. That's the best part.

though both pretty expensive, no?

Yeah, Adventure World alone is over $30 for people our age to get in. But then all the rides and attractions are free, so that makes the price bearable. Mind you, I'm not sure if it's cheaper to actually organise to have a party there. Although, I probably won't do anything for my birthday, because I'm planning to savesavesave. And my parents are going to help me paypaypay for New Zealand, so I don't want to bug them for MORE of their money.

So I am working through all your comments

THat's what I've been doing. I'm having to go through my inbox, because there are some that get lost and forgotten about, because they've been sitting there for a while and other emails have overtaken them. But I've gotten into the habit of deleting the comments I reply to as I go, so that should make it less confusing. I should give my inbox a clean out, actually.
